The backyard room you use in January and July alike.
Some of our favorite projects start as a plain covered patio and end as the best room in the house: sliding glass walls that open to the yard, a finished ceiling with fans and low-voltage lighting, a stone fireplace, floors from flagstone to composite deck. That's what a patio enclosure can be when one contractor designs the structure, the glass, and the finishes together.
Most Parker County enclosures are three-season rooms: glass keeps the wind and bugs out, and the shade structure keeps summer manageable. Add a mini-split and insulated roof panels, and the room works through both a February freeze and a Texas August. We'll show you both versions priced side by side.
A screen room keeps the space an outdoor room — screen walls, full airflow, usable spring through fall. A sunroom or glass enclosure closes the space in with sliding glass or windows so it is comfortable nearly year-round. Glass costs more; it also gets used more.
A screen room is not. Glass enclosures vary: a three-season room built on an existing patio is a much simpler project than a fully conditioned addition. We design to the simplest classification that honestly fits what you want, and we handle the permitting either way.
Yes — that is a cover-plus-enclosure project. We engineer the roof structure, ceiling, and walls together, which usually looks better and costs less than doing them as two separate projects a year apart.
Fans and lighting are standard in most of our enclosures. Mini-split heating and cooling can be added to glass rooms to push them toward year-round comfort. Bring it up at the estimate so circuits are planned in.
Glass and window enclosures on an existing sound cover generally start in the low-to-mid five figures, and cover-plus-enclosure builds run higher depending on size and finishes.
